“California Carburetor and Auto Repair” has been under the same ownership since 1991. We are a full service auto repair shop and specialize in carburetor rebuilding. We don’t believe in up-sells. We operate with quality, fairness, and integrity.
We are a highly experienced and knowledgable team.

EQUIPPED
We have necessities to diagnose and repair a variety of needs:
Newer computer-controlled vehicles with “check engine” light, or electrical problems
Drivability issues, chassis, suspension, brake and steering concerns
Manufacturer’s scheduled maintenance
Older pre-computer vehicles – a lost art at many shops!

You shouldn’t have to be the one to research and ask all the questions.
That’s our job. A true expert will have enough knowledge and experience to make the diagnosis and execute the solution effectively. Don’t accept anything less. When you bring us your vehicle, know that you have diligent professionals with your best interests at heart. We will ask YOU the right questions and do the proper testing with honest recommendations that don’t include unnecessary spending.
FAIR
Our hourly rate is $105 per hour.
Sure, you can call around and stand a decent chance of getting a quote for less. But we aren’t striving to be the cheapest, nor are we the most expensive. We want to give you value – great service at a fair price. Our quality parts are reasonably priced. Cheaper parts might save you in the short-term, but land you right back at the shop long-term. We want it done right, from the beginning.

If we see a part that has some wear, we will only recommend replacement if that’s what we would do, were it our own car. Many parts that have some wear still have useful life left in them. If that’s the case, we make you aware, and try to approximate how much time you have left on it. This business is run with integrity and we strive to give the best service to all our customers. Tim is a REALLY NICE guy…I was at ease/refreshed that he had his Bible on his desk…nice experience…my mechanic told me to go to them as they’re the BEST around…I’m a female…I know a little bit about engines but you still don’t want to be taken advantage of…I’ll come back to them again
